More & More People Are Dumping Their Partners Over Bad Sex

By News Sep 29, 2020 | 8:22 AM

Many Americans know what they want when it comes to sex, but are completely clueless about their partner’s needs. That’s the result of a survey by One Poll. One one hand, bad sex is a deal breaker, but on the the other, the respondents admitted not knowing enough about their partner’s needs to finish the job.

The poll also showed that we want to learn, but have no idea how to go about it. Lora DiCarlo, CEO of her namesake sex accessories company and who commissioned the poll, gives this advice: “Sex isn’t a one-sided event, open communication between partners leads to not only better sex, but inspires confidence and empowerment. Who doesn’t want that?”

Here are the takeaways from the poll:

  • One third of Americans have dumped someone over bad sex.
  • 68-percent said bad sex is a total deal breaker.
  • 17-percent of the time they’re faking it in bed… at least four times a month.
  • Women fake it more. About 39 times a year.
  • 46-percent believe their partners have never faked it.
  • 44-percent don’t know enough about their partner’s needs to get the job done.
  • 54-percent want to improve but don’t know how to start
  • 53-percent want to talk with their partners, but don’t want to offend them.
