Care.com & YMCA Offering Free Childcare On Election Day!

By News Oct 14, 2020 | 7:36 AM

With the election coming up on November 3rd, lots of people want to get out and vote. For some parents and caregivers, it comes down to having to decide between casting their ballot and bringing their kids out (to a potentially unsanitary environment during a pandemic)…or trying to find someone to watch them while they go to the polls. But Care.com wants to help make that easier.

The company is in the business of helping people find help with childcare, elderly care…and even pet care…and now they’re looking to bring their services to Election Day. Care.com is teaming up with Armed Services YMCA to provide free childcare options at 27 – and counting – locations across the U.S. on November 3rd.

Parents can now visit the Care to Vote website to reserve a four-hour spot for their little ones at a participating location. Then on Election Day, they can drop off the kids and go get their vote on. The spots are available on a first come, first serve basis, and logic says they’re sure to fill up fast. So if you want some free babysitting to help make voting easier for you, don’t wait to sign up.
