Kate Upton goes makeup-free for the cover of “People” magazine’s 2021 “Beautiful Issue”… which she admits was “a little nerve-wracking.” But she’s learned to embrace her natural skin, even as a person who “loves makeup.”
The supermodel says she was on a skin “struggle bus” after welcoming her daughter Genevieve, now two years old. But throughout quarantine, she’s been mostly makeup-free, and she says it’s “the best for your skin,” not to mention breaking that “negative relationship with yourself” that makeup and social media can create.
“I feel like makeup is so nice if you use it in a way that makes you feel better about yourself,” she adds. “Although I do love makeup, I appreciate what being makeup-free means – loving myself how I am.”
